Bending reinforcement and fire protection of a parking hall in Frauenfeld
Description
A new multi-storey building was constructed on an existing concrete ceiling of a parking hall. The slab of the garage now supports all vertical loads and must be statically reinforced.
Application description
To cover the negative bending moments, the top side of the concrete slab was increased in thickness. For an optimal bond between the old and new concrete, the contact surface was roughened, and Hilti shear connectors were used.
On the bottom side, lamellas were used to absorb the bending moments. For the service and the fire loads, memory®-steel re-plate was used. Sika CarboDur® CFRP lamellas cover the remaining load for the ULS. SikaCem® Pyrocoat was used for fire protection.
