Re-Fer

Description
Due to increased traffic loads (bus) loads, a floor slab in the bus depot of the city of Bern needed to be reinforced in flexure. The cast-in-place concrete slab is designed as a continuous beam between girders.

Application description

To cover the positive bending moments, nearly 100 re-plate 120/1.5 strips were applied and prestressed. After the heating process, control measurements of the prestress force were carried out for quality purposes by re-fer. Finally, the strips were gouged laterally with Sikaflex^® PRO-3 Purform and the corrosion protection coating SikaCor^® EG-1 Plus was applied.
