Description
Various core drillings had to be made in the heavily reinforced concrete slab. Significant punching shear reinforcements were cut and the tensile reinforcement on the bottom side of the slab was weakened.

re-bar 16 were used for the active reinforcement of the negative bending moment. The concrete slab including the hard-concrete cover was cut and roughened. re-bars with bent ends were then mortared and finally electrically heated. The protruding end hooks can be easily cut off with the cut-off wheel.

The positive bending moment was reinforced with Sika® CarboDur® CFRP-lamellas, prestressed re-plate lamellas, and combinations thereof. Prior to this, adhesive tensile and compressive strength tests were made, as the substrate was recycled concrete.
