Refurbishment of Church St. Paulus

Description
The extensive renovation of the 60-year-old Church St. Paulus in Dielsdorf Switzerland, a building under monumental protection, presented the engineer with numerous difficulties. The ceiling in the basement floor had to be reinforced for the negative and positive bending moment. CFRP lamellas were used for this purpose. In addition, prestressed re-plate lamellas were applied to the underside to reduce deflections. Rehabilitation work is expected to be completed in 2023.
